Meet the Contemporary Craft's 2017 Raphael Prize winner - jewelry artist Melissa Cameron.
Cameron’s winning artwork "1.1.2017" catalogues one day of gun violence in the USA. A total of 62 fatal gun incidents happened in 55 places throughout the U.S on January 1, 2017 with 66 guns involved and 73 people impacted.
Cameron's "1.1.2017" and works by 25 exhibiting artists are now on view at Contemporary Craft's exhibition - Transformation 10: Contemporary Works in Found Materials - until March 23, 2019.
